I found these Chinese Head Beads and fell in love with them. They are made out of petrified wood. I had them for about 6 months and one morning I woke up with this thought of three heads are better than one! The lariat was born. My lariat won first place in Finished Jewelry at Gleaming Treasures 2000 sponsored by Embellishment.. It was also displayed at the International Quilt Festival 2000.
