 Summer camp is a rich experience for children and adults alike. I've been a Craft Director for five years. I've learned a few things that I'll share here. When I first started, there was very little information for the scared volunteered soul, 'lost in space. If you feel like that I'd like to help you get planning! You don't have to even like 'crafts' to be a Arts & Crafts Director. ( There are books for ideas) You must enjoy working with and being with kids. (They'll figure you out in a minute if you think they're a drag.) And I think the second need is planning and testing your ideas. I have the next years craft plan ready by Jan of the new year. This allows time to collect all the supplies, try out the idea and change it! Even after all this I still have one flop a summer. So check out the books link for resources and the craft ideas link.
