Royal Cord

RoyalCord.jpg (8658 bytes) I started this necklace as a challenge from the teacher of my weekly bead class.  I had 15 seconds to choose 12 different colors of beads and make a necklace.   I was working on African Helix so that was the weave I was going to use.  At first I couldn't understand how I could do it but as I mixed a very small amount of the 12 colors together, the way to use the 12 different beads clicked in my brain and my royal cord took shape.  When you view the necklace as a whole the 2 outstanding colors are gold and aqua blue.  I added the fringe in the middle to depict a waterfall of treasures.  My weekly class is like a treasure chest to me.
